Usually hoisting a fishing rod over her shoulder, toting a tackle box and various other fishing paraphernalia. Aside from her regular fishing gear, Ika enjoys the fashion of The Far East, often gifted new outfits by her gramps.Water Affinity
Ika seems to keel over at immense heat, and often drinks from a large waterskin amidst her fishing supplies. She never seems more at home than in the water, and can swim amidst marine life without causing a mote of disturbance.
A Brief Biography
Many summers ago, a colossal storm paved a warpath through The Sirensong Sea, laying waste to any who would dare venture within it's grasp.As the storm subsided and commerce flowed unfettered once more, a lone Raen child was found adrift, floating in a solemn slumber, clothes stained in an inky black hue. Rescued by a daring band of seafaring pirates, the child was dubbed Ika or "Squid".Aboard the impressive galleon, she labored under tutelage of an elder fisherman, ever enraptured by his tales of myriad ventures to waters near and far. Unable to earn her keep as a fledgling in all respects, the young Au Ra was taken to Kugane at the behest of her new guardian. There she would be granted shelter and the opportunity to make an honest living, looking after her newly nicknamed "gramps" by tending to his fish stall.However, Ika felt a calling towards the seas surging within the very depths of her heart. As the crushing burden became too much to bear, she chose to stow aboard a vessel to the marine city-state: Limsa Lominsa.Galvanized with intent to become the perfect piscatrix, she seeks to explore the greater world, uncovering mythical fish to impress her adoptive parent.That's what she will tell you, at least...

It has been a very, very long time since I last roleplayed... Please bear with me, I've got fish brain!Always happy for a /tell, though I can be pretty nervous in walk-ups currently.As you may have guessed, Ika is not your typical Raen. For now, I wish to leave an air of mystery about her, even oocly! She may be more than meets the fish eye... more to be revealed? Tune-a in to find out!

If nautical nonsense be something you wish... you could do worse than talk to this fish-er-woman.Special Eyes: Like ink of blackest night, Ika's eyes are mesmerising to some and offputting to others.I don't need it... I definitely don't need it....... I NEEED ITTT! : Ika needs water, and lots of it. She will noticeably begin to fry in arid climates, sometimes relying on a parasol or drinking a small pool's worth of water to keep herself hydrated.Seeking a Legend: Are you seasoned seafarer of sorts amidst the 5 Seas? Maybe you are a master chef? Ika has interests in both fishing and cooking her catches, and hopes to learn from a few mentors along the way!
